How old were you when you first started to plan for your future?
Was it 8, 18, 28?
Regardless the age, I’m sure there’s been a moment where you had an idea of what your life could look like.
Maybe, you thought of the dream home you would own or the car you would like to drive.
Or maybe, you imagined being married with children.
Every since I was a young, I’ve had dreams to move to a big city. So simple right?
I would watch movies and shows where women only thrived in well-known metro areas. Their poise and elegance would captivate me.
I’d emulate them with dreams I too one day could be thirty, flirty, and thriving!
Certain women in those places seemed to have the perfect lives. They had the right job, the right beau, and the right mindset to keep everything life threw at them to work together.
I felt in order to experience a life like theirs I needed to be where they were. Like for real, have you heard of a woman well-known and thriving from Tulsa, Oklahoma?
Yeah…me too…not yet 😉
Since I’ve been living the surrendered life, my mindset has shifted completely. I aspire to be more like God’s best for me than Hollywood perfection!
I know you’ve read Jeremiah 29:11, right?
Now, I still have a desire to move to a big city. At the same time, I believe God can provide for his children too, to thrive where he’s placed us.
Sometimes, I feel as believers we can get so caught up in going forward in planning a new season that we miss the revelation to enjoy the present.
There’s purpose in your present season!
But they delight in the law of the Lord, meditating on it day and night. They are like trees planted along the riverbank, bearing fruit each season. Their leaves never wither, and they prosper in all they do. Psalms 1:2-3
The more we immerse ourselves in the word of God the more we will thrive wherever God has placed us.
How about you, Honey Bunches?
I want you to take 15 seconds to think about the places and people God has graced you from.
Don’t stop there!
Take a few more moments to thank you Him for where you are currently.
I want you to know you were born for this very moment.
I’d plan to share something totally different today, but I have to be obedient because this is what God wants you to hear:
Every second you’ve gone through in life didn’t happen by chance.
You are in the right position, right now!
You see, before you were formed in your mother’s womb God strategically designed you.
He created you so uniquely that out of the billions of people in the world there’s not even one who can do the very thing you’re created to do.
You have a gift that produces freedom for others.
Isn’t that amazing?
People can try, but no one can do it like you can!
Your imperfections are the tools to build your purpose, embrace them.
You couldn’t have been more perfectly chosen.
God loves you so much and He hasn’t forgotten about you.
He wants you to start enjoying where you are.
I declare a mind renewal for you. That you will believe God has better plans even in your current season.
You are beautiful. You are loved. You are the righteousness of God in Christ!
