Our ministry enjoys highlighting empowering women who are kingdom enhancers in their respected businesses, careers or ministries.
For this month's Empowering Woman, we would like to present to you, Meagan Pinkney.
Meagan, what is the name or title of your business, career, or ministry?
Joseph's Ministry, LLC
What services do you offer? What is the mission for your business or ministry?
Book Publishing, Business Startup and Website Design Services. Our mission is to take individuals and businesses to their next level.
That's amazing! What makes you choose to honor God in your respected career path?
As a consultant, our slogan is that we're not just a business we are a ministry. The creation of my company was solely God's idea.
As a child, what did you want to be when you grew up?
Business woman, engineer, secretary, and a nurse (all at the same time)
What has the journey looked like for you as a woman in faith?
Taking it one faith step of obedience at a time. Developing my personal relationship with Holy Spirit over the years is priceless. Through every trial and test I can truly say that God is with me and He is good, all the time!
Who is one person that inspires you and why?
Pastor Michael Todd. I have selected him because I have personally seen the growth, transitions, high moments and low moments has he is walking in his calling. He has remained true to himself and his transparent nature. Watching him inspires me daily to do the same.
When life gets hard, what is one scripture that helps you to not give up and why?
Jeremiah 29:11. Years ago while seeking God, I heard the audible words, "I know the plans I have for you". It's a gentle reminder that God has a plan.
What is one thing you have learned in your business, career, or ministry that was tough while learning that is now valuable to you?
Knowing my value. When my prices increase, knowing the value that comes with our services and not fear that I won't get any additional clients. If anything, I have learned that when I learned my value, my client base upgraded.
Meagan, may you share one spiritual discipline you practice and how does this practice benefit you?
Have an early morning devotion/quiet time with the Holy Spirit. In this time I can pray, worship, read the Bible and journal. This time helps me to stay connected to Holy Spirit and start my day off right.
Can you recall a time where God spoke to you clearly? How was that experience for you?
One example is when Holy Spirit told me to get my lease agreement for my business. I was very nervous and didn't think I could afford it. By faith, I went to look at one particular office space that a friend recommended to me. With many confirmations, I stepped out by faith and signed a 12 month lease for our first office suite. Because I was being obedient, God covered the process. I never have to worry about paying the rent monthly. My team and I have been in our suite for one year and we just signed another year lease.
Lastly, our ministry exists to help women grow stronger through faith and transparency. What is one thing you would like to share with another woman to 'Keep The Faith"?
Always remember your why. Keep your why in the forefront of your mind. When things get tough, this reminder keep you focused. When things are going well, this reminder is encouraging. Remember your why.
