One of the biggest tricks of the enemy is to make us question what God has already spoken over our lives.
He loves to sow doubt, even after God has said yes.
He has been doing this since Genesis Chapter 3 :)
And like Adam and Eve, the truth is, it’s not that we didn’t hear from God.
It’s that the enemy tries to cloud our focus while we wait for His promises to manifest!
One thing I’m learning on my journey is the importance of preparing for what God has already spoken while I wait to receive it.
A simple example from this week really inspired me:
My nephews asked me to take them to Wendy’s.
Apparently, Wendy’s was giving away one free Frosty and fries, no purchase necessary. Usually, I might have hesitated because I’m busy or tired. But this time, I said yes.
We were ready to go...well so I thought.
We left the house and arrived to the restaurant.
However, when we arrived, we realized one of my nephews did not have on shoes!
Unfortunately, he was not able to go inside the restaurant to receive his free treats.
But, as the gracious aunt that I am, I went inside and brought him the treats.
This moment made me think about how we approach God’s promises.
Sometimes, we’re like the nephew who is ready, we’re prepared to receive and walk in the blessing. Other times, we’re like the nephew who isn’t quite ready yet, we have to trust God to guide us and equip us to receive what He has promised.
It reminded me of the parable Jesus shared in Matthew about the ten virgins: some were wise and prepared, and some were not. The ones who were prepared were able to step into the blessings fully when the time came.
The lesson is simple clear:
Whatever God has spoken over your life, don’t let the waiting period discourage you.
Prepare your heart, your mind, and your actions so that when God shows up, you’re ready to step fully into His promise.
This Week's Faith Moves...aka Nuggets :)
Take a moment today to ask God, “Am I ready for what you’ve promised me?”
Then, take one step, however small, to prepare for His blessing.
Even if the timing feels off, your faith and preparation will position you for the harvest.
Verse of the Day
Matthew 25:4 (NIV) “The wise ones, however, took oil in jars along with their lamps.”
