Be Careful of Who and What’s Around You When You’re The Underdog!

We all love a good underdog story.

I believe why we love these stories so much for we’ve all experienced a moment where we also felt every odd was against us.

When the underdog finally wins, we too become filled with joy in their victory! Their stories of triumph ignite a fire in our psyche that we can overcome anything.

Whether it’s at work, school, or sports, we all know being the underdog comes with considerable amounts of pressure.

When it comes to the surrendered life, we must understand that while we may feel like the underdog we are promised a great victory. One where we will experience prosperity, hope, and a future!

Being underestimated is not counted out!

I’ve always considered myself to be the underdog. I am the youngest of five children in my family. Even today, I am an adult and my village will remind me of the position I am in!

Though I am the youngest, I’ve always had the mindset that I have a great advantage of achieving tremendous success than my older siblings. Here’s why:

Because of my status, I have the pleasure to receive their wisdom and apply it to my life. Anything that’s been a setback or hard lesson to them, I can use their knowledge to handle potential attacks. By using many of their methods, it has allowed me to be less fearful in pursuing certain goals I will soon accomplish!

Another reason why I’ve considered myself as an underdog because I don’t believe I have ever won first place in anything! A few weeks ago, I shared on Chat w/BG how I grew bitterness throughout the years from the uneasy repetition of defeat.

For this year and beyond, I’ve made up in my mind that I refuse to allow failure to make me become stagnant.

The thing is by me being the underdog God has revealed to me the title to today’s blog post:

Be Careful of Who and What’s Around You When You Are The Underdog!

Here recently, I’ve been reading the origin and story of Joseph. Like me, Joseph was one of the youngest siblings in his family and he had an incredible gift of interpreting dreams!

The favor he had over his life was a promise fulfilled by God made with Joseph’s great-great-grandfather, Abraham. There’s a lot of reading. To get a full understanding study Genesis 10-45! 😄

One of the most interesting things as I read the journey to Joseph’s victory was how powerful it is in who we share the purpose God has for us! Now, I’m a firm believer in God’s great purpose will be fulfilled in those who love Him.

At the same time, it’s so easy for someone to come along and try to manipulate our divine purpose unknowingly to us! Oh, Honey Bunches, y’all know what I mean.

Have you ever shared with someone thoughts or even ideas that you knew were only from God? This thought or idea you believed in your heart would be the thing that would set you apart from anything anyone has ever heard.

Then, the moment you opened up your mouth to share your thought or idea to a close friend or family member in response they laughed. Unbeknownst to you, their simple laugh planted something inside of you.

Don’t believe me?

How many of us have started to work on our those thoughts or ideas from God, then months down the line we start to second guess our ability in achieving the goal. Next, we stop being as consistent or we decide to just call it quits.

And, we only become doubtful because we begin to second guess ourselves from a memory of the one person who laughed at us.

This is similar to Joseph’s story! He opened up and shared his dream to his brothers. In response, his brothers sold him into slavery.

If you’re like me, you may love the meaning of words!

Slavery is the state of being a slave. When we stop going after those thoughts or ideas from God, we are holding ourselves in bondage!

Today, I want to be every person who is reading this personal cheerleader:

If God gave us a thought or an idea, we need to fully pursue it!

Everyone on this earth has a great destiny.

In a divine way, I believe our ideas and thoughts simultaneously are connected. That’s why it’s so important for us to stay consistent because we are not only blessing ourselves but for the Kingdom of God!

And, it’s only up to us to achieve it.

Underdog Nuggets!

One of the toughest stages in being an underdog is in the beginning. Because in the first stage, it is where it’s so easy for us to get distracted or discouraged.

Every step doesn’t have to share with everybody!

Just as many people who give us praise there will be others preying against us. Let’s protect our vision by limiting what we say.

The enemies job is to kill, steal, and destroy.

Satan doesn’t want for us to live in the divine purpose God has for us. We will experience attacks, but we will not be defeated.

We don’t have to be in every circle!

God is the plug! The only thing we need to focus on is preparation. When God is ready, He will place us around the right people and it will be at the right time!
