What if your breakthrough isn’t being delayed… but revealed?
Sometimes we look to pastors, preachers, or leaders for encouragement and that’s beautiful.
But, Friend, God doesn’t limit Himself to platforms or titles. He will speak through anyone willing to carry His truth!
Lately, I’ve been more intentional about guarding what I consume my thoughts, my habits, my conversations.
I’ve really been on my “not that anymore” type of mindset.
Boundary lines are drawn!
And God, reminded me of something so simple, but so powerful:
You never know who He will use to inspire your faith.
Recently, I was inspired by someone in middle school.
They come over after school to do homework, and like usual, I greeted them.
But this time, I felt led to ask a different question:
“What was the best part of your day?”
Their response?
They shared a Bible verse from John chapter 3.
I paused.
I asked them, “What does that verse mean to you?”
And in the simplest, purest way, they said something along the lines of:
“It means God loves me and always got me.”
I was honestly taken aback.
Because here’s the truth:
Sometimes we underestimate who God can use.
We assume depth only comes with age or experience. But God’s light shines through anyone who is open to Him.
And in that moment, I wasn’t the one pouring…I was the one being filled.
“But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what they have done has been done in the sight of God.” -John 3:21
The Light Isn’t About You It’s About God Through You
Friend, that child had me reading the whole John Chapter 3!
I also thought about people like John the Baptist…someone who didn’t come with status or formal recognition, but carried a divine assignment.
His role was simple: prepare the way for Jesus.
And because he embraced that calling, God’s light shined through him in a way that pointed others to Jesus.
That’s what this season is about.
Not perfection, performance, but positioning yourself in the light, so God can work through you.
This Week's Faith Moves...aka Nuggets :)
If you’re believing God for more, here are a few ways to align yourself with the light this week:
1. Choose Truth Daily
Ask yourself: Where am I avoiding truth?
Breakthrough begins when you confront what’s real, with God at the center.
2. Stay Open to Unexpected Messengers
God might not always speak the way you expect!
Be willing to receive wisdom from unlikely places.
3. Reflect God, Don’t Perform for People
Your life isn’t about impressing others, it’s about reflecting Him.
Let your obedience be the evidence of His work!
4. Ask Yourself: Where Is My Light Shining?
Are your actions pointing people toward God?
Or, toward your own strength?
5. Invite Someone Into the Light
This is your gentle nudge, invite someone to church.
Send the text. Extend the invite. You never know what that “yes” could unlock for them.
As we step into this season leading up to Easter, let this be your question:
How am I allowing God’s light to shine through me?
Because breakthrough isn’t just about what God does for you…
...it’s also about what He does through you.
This week, take one bold step toward the light.
Whether it’s surrendering something, inviting someone, or simply choosing truth, do it with intention.
And watch how God begins to move!
