EMPOWER HER BLOG: When You Think..Not When You Feel!

Have you ever had someone to give you a compliment, then shortly after complain about something you did or did not do?

It does not feel too good, right?

I wonder how God must have felt whenever He delivered the Israelites.

Not long after God rescued the Isrealites from captivity many of their words to God turned from praise to compliants!

As a result, a journey that could have taken days, multiplied to years for them.

It's like they had forgotten about the amazing God that delivered them.

What about you, Friend?

Do you ever find yourself complaining more than praising God?

When was the last time you really expressed gratitude to Him?

If I can be honest, these are questions I ask myself often.

Because I know what God has done for me.

If I can be even more transparent, there are times where I feel like life can get pretty hard!

A crisis can occur and my current circumstance seem to blur my vision of God's awesome power.

It is only when I began to think about all the amazing things God has done for me my view reshapes from fear to faith!

Then, my hope rises and my confidence grow stronger to trust in God, not what I feel.

Psalms 77:11 I will remember the deeds of the Lord; yes, I will remember your miracles of long ago.

Friend, you may not have everything you want, but do you remember who has and continues to supply all your needs?

You may feel fear of the unknown, but do you remember who said they will never leave or forsake you?

This is a time and a season to rely on the character of God!

He is and will forever be the same God!

Heavenly father, thank you for always being God. You are the only God who's reputation reigns greater than any other! You have done so much. You have made many ways where there seemed to be no way. We ask that you do it again! We believe in your power. Blow our minds, in Jesus name, Amen🙌
