I’m 27, Now What?

Updated: Apr 21

It’s 2019, “New Year, New Me” was nearly ten years ago, yet it doesn’t feel much has changed in your life.

As you scroll on social media, you notice one of your classmate’s most recent posts.

It’s a collage of pictures with the caption, “He asked, so I said yes!”.

You double tap and type a simple ‘congrats’ in the comments.

Secretly, you feel torn inside because you wish it was really you in the picture.

Well, not getting engaged to your classmate’s significant other, but making a commitment with something other than your Netflix’s subscription.

Then, you scroll a bit further down your timeline to see your youngest nephew and you become a bit more taken back. “Wow.”

He’s thanking everyone for their prayers.

Recently, he received a letter in the mail and he’s accepted into that university!

You know, the one he talked about when he was in eighth grade.

Now, you become a bit disengaged of the idea because you are still working on your degree. How long has it been again?

You think to yourself , “What am I doing in life?”.

In our microwavable society, it’s so easy for us to feel inadequate.

Often, we become agitated of not being in a place or position we would like to be.

While we scroll on our timelines, we may feel we are being social, but we are subconsciously comparing our lives to those we choose to friend.

“There’s a saying, “No road is too long for him who advances slowly and does not hurry, and no attainment is beyond his reach who equips himself with patience to achieve it.”

Basically, it’s time for a paradigm shift!

Though it feels we are slowly getting to our ultimate level of success, the reality is most of us are doing great in life.

Read that line again. Now, believe it.

We provide faith-based resources to help women grow stronger in faith.
