The Naomi Blessing: When God Silently Works For Your Good!

What is the one area in your life where you feel God is silent?

In other words, where you are…may not match where you would like to be.

You have seen God work out miracles for others.

However, the very thing(s) you desire seem to be placed on hold for you to receive!

This area may have caused you to become bitter.

You may not have spoken it out loud, but if someone were to ask you right now about this specific area you would not want to talk about it.

In fact, you may even try to change the subject!

Can I tell you a secret?

If you are faithful to God, He is always working behind the scenes on your behalf!

You may not see Him creating opportunities for you.

You may not hear Him whispering your name in the ears of great people.

However, God moves and that’s Bible!

“Clearly, you are a God who works behind
the scenes,...”
 ‭‭-Isaiah‬ ‭45:15 MSG‬

You see, I know how you feel!

If I can be transparent with you, God recently had to give me this very reminder that He is Jehovah-Jireh. (The God who provides)

Like you, my heart was bitter in a specific area because I felt that God was “making it rain in blessings” for others, but somehow He was taking His time for me.

Now, here me out!

I am a person who loves to encourage.

With this being said, I get excited when I hear people experiencing God’s goodness 🙌🏾

It strengthens my faith to believe that I am next!

However, I finally mustered up the strength to really pour out my heart to God…

Just this past Monday…yeah, two days ago!

I said: “Okay God, I am simply here…still waiting on you..to do…you know…what you said you would do…”

I know pretty basic, right?

Can you believe God responded by placing a familiar passage for me to read?

I am talking familiar familiar…I’ve read and heard it at least 50 times😅

The Book of Ruth

Can you believe God gave me a new perspective?

God is not stagnant in silence!

Now, you may already know in the book of Ruth Naomi was a woman who lost her husband, two sons, and resources.

Also, her two sons had wives and one wife, Ruth decided to travel back with Naomi to her homeland.

Throughout this story, Naomi was bitter of her losses, however, something new I noticed in reading Ruth.

Naomi was very supportive to Ruth’s journey!

Most chapters in the book of Ruth talks about Ruth, yet every once in a while it highlights Naomi’s selfless act of kindness and generosity to share wisdom to Ruth, even in bitterness.

The book also seldom mentions God, yet His presence is felt through every character.

This is what I want you to understand:

Sometimes God will bless you beyond what your emotions reciprocate to Him.

“Then Boaz said to the elders and to the crowd
standing around, You are witnesses that today
I have bought from Naomi all the property of
Elimelech, Kilion, and Mahlon.”
-Ruth 4:9

Honey Bunches, I do not want to excuse you or how I once felt!

However, I want you to understand the grace of God!

You see, Naomi was obedient, even in bitterness and God blessed her beyond what I am sure she imagined.

This required for her to still be faithful to God while her emotions didn’t feel like it!

Honey Bunches, I know the promise that God spoke to you seems slow in coming…but continue to wait in faith.

God makes loud moves and God makes silent moves!

Do your part, wait.

And, if you need a little bit more encouragement, you are not alone.

I am waiting in faith to receive my promise too!

Faith Nuggets!

God is not stagnant in silence!

Sometimes God will bless you beyond what your emotions reciprocate to Him.
