Before you convince yourself that heaven is silentâŠ
Before you assume your prayers are bouncing off the ceilingâŠor you whisper, âMaybe nobody hears meââŠ
Pause.
Because there is a Savior who didnât just rescue you once and disappear.
When I was a young girl, I was pushed into a swimming pool.
I sank straight to the bottom because I could not swim.
I donât remember fighting. I donât remember screaming. I just remember sinking.
And then, a lifeguard jumped in and pulled me out.
If I crossed paths with that lifeguard today, I couldnât tell you who they are.
Why?
Because there was no relationship outside of the moment of being saved.
I am so grateful that Jesus is different.
When we make the decision to believe in Jesus, when we accept the free gift of salvation, He doesnât rescue us and walk away.
He saves us, yes.
But, He also invites us into relationship.
One of the most powerful ways our relationship with Jesus grows is through prayer.
âWho then is the one who condemns? No one. Christ Jesus who died, more than that, who was raised to life, is at the right hand of God and is also interceding for us.â- Romans 8:34 NIV
Let that sit for a moment.
Jesus didnât just die and rise.
He is actively praying...for us...for you.
If I can be honest, there have been seasons where my prayers felt like they were hitting the ceiling.
Times when I wanted someone, anyone, to pray for me because I felt too tired to form the words myself.
And yet⊠Scripture...God's word reminds me that our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ is already at the right hand of God praying on our behalf.
Jesus not only saves....He prays.
Throughout the Gospels, (books of the Bible Matthew, Mark, Luke and John) Jesus was constantly withdrawing to pray.
Before miracles.
After miracles.
In moments of grief.
In moments of pressure.
Prayer wasnât occasional for Him. It was essential.
And because we know He was resurrected, because we know He is alive, that means His prayers are not past tense.
The same powerful, effective prayers spoken in the Gospels are backed by resurrection power.
Alive.
Active.
Effective.
Still.
If youâve ever felt unheardâŠwondered if God sees what youâre carryingâŠor you've been too exhausted to pray one more polished prayerâŠyou are not alone!
You are prayed for.
By Jesus.
This Week's Faith Moves...aka Nuggets :)
Take time to read John Chapter 17.
Many people know Matthew 6 or whatâs commonly called âThe Lordâs Prayerâ as a model for how we as believers of faith should pray.
But John 17 shows us something deeply personal!
It shows us how Jesus prays.
And the beautiful truth? He prays for believers.
That includes you, Friend!
As you read it this week, donât rush it.
Notice His heart. Notice what He asks the Father. Notice how intentional and loving His words are.
Let it remind you that your life is not random.
Your faith is not fragile in His hands. Your name is not forgotten.
No matter what you face this weekâŠ
Jesus is still saving, praying, and still loving you!
Bestie, letâs walk like women who know heaven is not silent over our lives.
And if this encouraged you, share it with another woman who needs to remember she is covered in prayer today.
Verse of the Day
Romans 8:34 (NIV) âWho then is the one who condemns? No one. Christ Jesus who died, more than that, who was raised to life, is at the right hand of God and is also interceding for us.â
