We Share To Empower: Betting On God

“With God’s help, anything is possible!”

This has been my mantra for the past couple of months or so.

Especially since, the day when I believe God first placed it on my heart to leave my job.

I had been working on my previous position for nearly three years.

Then, one day I went to work doing my normal routine when something felt different.

The feeling wasn’t bad.

The feeling wasn’t good.

I could just feel a shift.

I remember praying to God later about the feeling I felt that day.

Eventually, time passed and I found myself being back at work with that same feeling.

Like before, I prayed about the feeling, but I also asked for confirmation.

Not saying I didn’t trust what I believe God was saying to me.

At the time, I guess what I was hearing didn’t make sense, so I wanted to be sure.

How many times have you felt this way?

You believe God is speaking to you about something.

An idea or thought pops inside your head while doing your usual routine or task.

Then, you are left thinking, “Wait, is this really from God or is this me?”

I believe all Christians have said this at one time or another.

Especially, those of us who have what I call a “squirrel brain”! *Comment below if that’s you!*

So, the question is how can we be sure when God is telling us to do something?

Before making any sudden decisions or moves, I advise you to always Matthew 6:33.

Also, I understand how the silence can be overwhelming.

This is why I believe God created verses such as Matthew 7:7 for people like you and me.

Matthew 7:7 states,
'Keep on asking, and you will receive what you ask for.
Keep on seeking, and you will find.
Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you.'

In other words, this verse gives you and I permission to seek God for the very things we need!

Now, I also understand after praying to God about the thought or idea the wait for confirmation can be a bit overwhelming.

Therefore, I believe it is just as okay to ask yourself the following:

  1. Will my faith be stretched by acting on what I am hearing?

  2. Will I bring help to others by acting on what I am hearing?

  3. Will my actions bring honor to God?

And, if you need further encouragement, check out these three passages in your spare time:

Genesis 22

1 Kings 17

John 11:1-42

Faith Nuggets!

Moving in faith is not meant to make sense, it makes miracles!

God will confirm what He says; it is up to you to simply ask Him.
