What You Speak Is What You Get!

I believe one of the coolest things about growing up with older parents is you get exposed to more things than a person who has younger parents.

For example, my parents were young in the 70s.

Here’s a picture of my dad and his mom, Big Mama

Here’s a picture of young Momma, I believe this photo was actually taken in the 80s… …but wasn’t she still a Bad Mama Jama?!

Growing up with my parents I grew accustomed to listening to music from the 70s!

Therefore, when it comes to music, (especially The Oldies) I have a wider range than people my age.

Just last night, I was washing the dishes and literally started humming ‘Whatcha See Is Whatcha Get’.

(A popular 70s song by the group The Dramatics.)

I may have been humming that song for about five minutes or so when I believe The Holy Spirit dropped a whole Faith Nugget in my ear that I’d like to share with you today:

By culture’s standards we have a mindset of ‘What you see is what you get’, but by kingdom standards it is ‘What you speak is what you get.

Meaning, the very things we hope for have the ability to become our reality by the words we choose to speak.

“The tongue can bring death or life; those who love to talk will reap the consequences.” Proverbs 18:21

Honey Bunches, I believe you and I are soon entering into a new season where God wants to do some amazing things in our lives!

I am believing long-awaited prayers will be answered in this season.

I am believing unexplainable and unexpected favors will be extended in this season.

I am believing in the great healing of our minds in this season.

I am expecting God to show out in this season!

All for the purpose of our obedience to God and for God to get the glory through us.

And, right now, it is so important for you and I to be mindful of our words!

Our words hold power because we are created in the image of God (Gen. 1:27)

What we say in this season needs to be aligned with God’s word.

Because God’s word is the ultimate truth!

Regardless of what our current state is or is not…our words matter.

As believers of Christ, I don’t believe our faith has to match our feelings.

However, I do believe we must have the expectation that God can and God will.

“Faith shows the reality of what we hope for; it is the evidence of things we cannot see.” Hebrews 11:1

As 2022 soon emerges, what are you believing God for?

When you close your eyes, can you see yourself healed?

Can you see yourself healthy?

Do you see you and your loved ones enjoying game nights together?

Can you see yourself the way God sees you?

Loved? Chosen?

Honey Bunches, I encourage you before the end of this year to seek God on His will for you in 2022.

Write down what you see…

…and speak it until it becomes your reality!

Grateful for the parentals inviting me to be a part of their date night 😄 📍 Double Tree Hotel in Downtown Tulsa📍 Looking forward to soon sharing routine and fun date nights with the man God has for me💕
