EMPOWER HER BLOG: 3 Verses To Remember When Life Seems To Fall Apart

Updated: Apr 21, 2023

Have you ever experienced something in life where you did not know what to do?

All you knew in that moment was life as you knew it suddenly seemed all was falling apart.

Me too.

In fact, I experienced this sensation last week.

I woke up to an unexpected call.

The information shared with me on the call began to break my heart.

The more I listened, the more I couldn’t understand why this situation was happening.

All I could do was feel what I felt!

And, of course, pray☺️

At the same time, I was still feeling every unwanted emotion from receiving the unexpected call.

However, I made a decision that at that moment I wouldn’t allow what I felt to control how I moved forward.

I want to share the same with you!

I may not know what you are experiencing.

And, I may not know what you are feeling.

In fact, I believe it is okay to feel what you feel!

You have my permission to cry or scream.

You can even be angry or frustrated.

All the same…life will continue.

And, I don’t want you to eventually feel stuck in what you feel.

With your permission, of course, I want to share three verses that helped me when life seemed to fall apart.

1. Psalms 46:10

“Be still, and know that I am God! I will be honored by every nation. I will be honored throughout the world.”

I believe this verse shares two key components on how we, believers of Christ, should move forward when we initially feel life is collapsing.

Be Still.

Know God is God.

When the unexpected occurs, taking a moment to be still gives us the opportunity to gather our thoughts.

Then, when we have gathered our thoughts, we can remember who has power over all, God.

The very power God has we have accessed through Christ Jesus.

2. 1 Peter 5:7

“Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you.”

1 Peter 5:7 is helpful as well to know whatever you are experiencing can be shared with God as his child.

God is loving.

He cares for you and He cares for anything you experience.

When you find yourself dealing with the unexpected, share all to God.

In return, He will give you all you need to help you overcome.

3. Psalms 133:1

“…how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!”

One of the best things you can do when your life feels like it is falling apart is to spend time with other believers in faith!

Surrounding yourself with people who are spiritually strong will help strengthen you.

Reach out to your faith-based community.

Send a text to your church leader and let them know you need prayer.

Call a friend to come visit and share what you are feeling.

Psalms 133:1, is a great reminder of good it is to spend time with your friends in faith.

Remember, it is okay to feel what you feel.

When you are ready, make sure to invite someone into your thoughts😉

I pray today’s post encourages and empowers you.

May God give you peace when you find yourself feeling as if life is falling apart.

And, if you enjoyed this post, share it with someone to help them do the same💕
