EMPOWER HER BLOG: ACCESS GRANTED!

Hey there, friend.
I am curious who are the people who have access to you?
Who are the people who you are listening to?
When they speak, what are they encouraging you to do?
Because who you are is very important!
You are a child of God and you are created in his image.
Because you are created in God’s image there is power inside of you whether you know it or not.
With this in mind, there is an enemy whose goal is to literally steal, kill and destroy you from becoming all of who your Creator, God, created you to be.
Today, I want to encourage you to take an inventory of those who you call friends.
Because whether you believe it or not, those who surround you can literally make or break your destiny!
I know you love God’s word, so I want to share with you a simple verse to remember on the topic of friendship.
“Two people are better off than one, for they can help each other succeed.”
Ecclesiastes 4:9
When it comes to having friendships, I believe as believers we should obtain connections that are Christ-centered.
Christ-centered relationships will help place us on successful paths.
Remember, the enemy I mentioned above?
There have been times where maybe like you I felt really low.
I didn’t feel like going to church.
I didn’t feel like praying.
I didn’t like believing.
Though I knew the feelings I felt, they did not align with my faith.
I needed help and did not know how to shake certain feelings off.
My friends sure knew how!
It was the help of my friends who encouraged me through the word of God to make decisions based on faith, not feelings.
It was their faith that helped me to choose faith.
As a result, I have been able to succeed in areas where I thought I would completely fail.
That’s my encouragement for you too!
Make a decision today to gain and nurture Christ-centered friendships.
Because there will come a time where you may not want to choose what you know is right to do.
You may simply want to succumb to what you feel.
In response, my prayer will be that at that time you be surrounded by Christ-centered relationships to bring you to a decision to choose faith and not feelings.
With this in mind, tomorrow, our tribe will continue on the topic of friendship through Virtual Bible Study.
You certainly do not want to miss out on ways you find and nurture Christ-centered relationships.
Hope to see you there!
