When Showing Up Is the Assignment | Empower Her Blog

ree

Stop scrolling for a second, friend.

This is your reminder that sometimes showing up is the assignment.

Not being recognized.

Not going viral.

Not being celebrated like you just won an Oscar.

Just showing up...faithfully, quietly, and consistently because you know who God called you to.

The truth is, you never really know who’s being inspired by what you do.

Someone’s breakthrough could be connected to your obedience.

Someone’s courage could be reignited because you didn’t quit.

This happened to me recently.

I have been staying committed to my journey with God for a few years now.

Of course, there have been days were I feel more encouraged than others.

But, one day, out of all days one of my family members encouraged me.

This family member I silently pray for their salvation and for them to totally surrender to God's will.

Recently, I shared something online about God's word and was surprised by how they responded.

They actually like the post and reposted it.

To me, it was a gentle reminder that God is answering prayers.

And here’s the thing: everything we do is part of a divine, perfectly timed plan.

God wastes nothing, not even the small moments when it feels like nobody sees you.

Sharing My Story For You

Sometimes you will be able to see those who are impacted in your yes or obedience to God.

Sometimes you will not.

But, staying anchored in God’s word will remind you who you are and keep you grounded in what’s true.

This reminds me of Esther 4:14, which says,

“Perhaps you were born for such a time as this.”

We can’t afford to stay silent or sit back in fear.

We must be diligent to pray, to seek God, and to show up, especially when we don’t feel like it.

Because even in those moments, God is working behind the scenes, preparing something bigger than we can see.

So keep showing up, friend.

Keep being you.

Keep building by faith.

Because you never know, your obedience might be the encouragement someone else has been praying for.

Verse of the Day

Esther 4:14‬ (NIV) For if you remain silent at this time, relief and deliverance for the Jews will arise from another place, but you and your father’s family will perish. And who knows but that you have come to your royal position for such a time as this?

When it feels like no one notices your effort, remember...heaven does.

Showing up in faith isn’t about who claps for you, it’s about who called you.

Keep showing up, not for validation, but for obedience.

We invite you to say this prayer:

God, thank you for reminding me that even small steps of faith matter.

Help me to show up with purpose, to speak when you say speak, and to trust that you’re working behind the scenes. In Jesus’ name, amen.
