One of the biggest lies I once believed about myself was no one would ever listen to me.
As the youngest of five children, I would have never imagined one day people around the world would be inspired by me.
Let alone those same people would be positively impacted by the things I share.
You see, there was a time whenever I would voice my opinion on specific topics, I would immediately be filled with oversized amounts of anxiety.
I would think to myself, 'Did that come out right?.' 'I hope what I said made sense.''I wonder if I could have said that differently.'
Quite often, I would be afraid to speak.
I am grateful to say I have eventually arrived at a place where those thoughts no longer silence my voice.
However, I can admit those thoughts will still randomly pop up in my mind.
Can you say the same?

2 Corinthians 10:5 is one amazing reminder that we can take captive of our thoughts and make them obedient to Christ.
As God's children, we don't have to sit with thoughts that question who we are.
Instead, we can find scriptures that affirm who we are in Christ, God's truth, the real truth about us.
The next time you begin to feel down or have low thoughts I encourage you to read 2 Timothy 1:7 out loud.
Say, God has not given me a spirit of fear, but power, love, and a sound mind!
The next time you begin to be discouraged by a situation that seems impossible read Matthew 19:26 out loud.
Say, Anything is possible with God!
The next time you are unsure of the outcome of a situation you are facing say Romans 8:28 out loud.
Say, all things are working for my good because I love the Lord and I am called to his purpose!
You have the power to create from within because you were created by The Creator, God.
You were created in His image.
