As we are living on Earth and expectations are constantly being thrown at us, it is so incredibly important for us to give grace to ourselves on our journey - I am not talking about a worldly sense of grace but a heavenly one.
Let me share a story with you today about how showing grace towards myself in my day-to-day life has changed the game for me: I began to see myself the way the Father saw me.
He saw me as so valuable to Him that He sent His one and only Son to die on the cross for me.
The death of Christ, which included the sins I did and the sins that were done to me by others, paid the price already for every shortcoming I may have on my journey here on Earth.
Christ could have backed out of His mission, but through the grace that He felt towards us, He pushed past every fear to carry on with the will of the Father for my life.
I believe that as daughters of the Kingdom, Christ wants our relationship with ourselves to be a graceful one and He wants to partner with us in that.
He shed His blood for us so that we can establish a relationship with the Father where He is unconditionally graceful towards us and in return this not only pours into our relationship with others, but with ourselves.
Scripture reminds us of this in Ephesians 2:8, which says "For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God" - In the midst of all your struggles, beloved daughter of God, make sure your journey is a graceful one.
Showing grace towards ourselves helps us to see ourselves how God sees us.
Christ could have backed out of His mission, but through the grace that He felt towards us, He pushed past every fear to carry on with the will of the Father for our lives.
