EMPOWER HER BLOG: LET THE LORD FIGHT FOR YOU

Have you ever said you were going to trust in God completely, but you find yourself checking back in with him every few moments?

If so, I want you to keep reading because you are definitely not alone!

If I can be honest, I have been where you are, even recently.

What God has revealed to me is trusting in Him is a decision to fully release belief in God and trust in His timing.

Hebrews 11:1 is a reminder that “Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.

Meaning, our faith consists of belief in God no matter what circumstances may look like.

Affirming the word of God over our circumstances intentionally, believing God is advocating for us and trusting by His word what we believe will come to pass.

You may wonder what this looks like.

About a month ago, I joined a church after attending regularly.

Shortly after, I went to the grocery store to pick up a few items, so I could prepare for my Sunday dinner.

I left the store and soon arrived at my apartment.

As soon as I pulled up to the garage, my car stopped working.

I pulled the keys out of the ignition.

Then, I tried to start the car. No luck.

I pulled the keys out of the ignition again.

Attempted to start the car again. No luck.

I pulled the keys out of the ignition again. Prayed.

I said, “God, I am frustrated and I need help to move this car. I can’t do this by myself, I need you.

Within minutes, I saw a 200+ lb man walking to his car which was a few feet away from me.

I asked for his help. He not only helped me, but his family came to help me too!

Throughout the entire time God was extending help to me through those men, I was thanking God for helping me.

I affirmed God’s word and believed God will supply all my needs according to Philippians 4:19.

Was I frustrated? Yes.

However, there was not one moment that passed where I doubted God.

I believed in God.

I trusted what I believed would happen, affirmed my belief with God’s word and it did happen with God!

What I learned that day is letting God fight for you can be a simple faith statement followed by trusting God will take care of the rest.

There is no need to worry about anything.

As long as God is fighting for you, victory will soon locate you!

In fact, I encourage you to affirm that victory is locating me, because the Lord fights for me.

Don’t just say it, Believe it!

Know that at the right time God’s word will locate you and the outcome will be victory.
