EMPOWER HER BLOG: Walk That Walk!

As a child, there was a game in the U.S. we used to play called, 'Follow The Leader'.

The game was pretty simple!

A leader would be picked out of a group of kids.

Once the leader was picked, the remaining kids would "follow the leader".

Normally, the leader would also have a leader such as a teacher or an instructor as a guide.

The more I grow in faith the more I view Jesus as my leader.

The reason is Jesus was and is a great example to follow, for he is guided by God’s word!

This can be super helpful in times where life comes to challenge my faith.

No matter how big or small a situation may be I find myself now taking steps in faith towards Jesus' example with the belief I am heading towards good things, God's great plan for me!

As you read, you may wonder what that looks like for you.

When Satan tries to make you doubt God, follow the leader, Jesus by speaking God’s word out loud to overcome Satan according to Matthew 4!

When you feel overwhelmed, follow the leader Jesus, rest according to Matthew 14:13!

When you need clarity about the plan God has for your life , follow the leader, Jesus, and pray to God for wisdom according to Luke 22:42!

Being a follower of Christ is more than having the knowledge of the Bible, it also includes applying the example Jesus displayed for you.

True faith has evidence!

Hebrews 11:1 KJV, Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

Walk that walk like Jesus!

Now, let's pray:

God, thank you for sending Jesus as the ultimate example to follow. I pray that as my friend and I grow stronger in faith, you will help navigate our steps to be aligned with your word, like Jesus! May our faith have evidence that you are with us. May our walk be an example to bring others to you! May you get the glory through our story, in Jesus name, Amen!
