Why do you do what you do?
This is a question I often ask myself when it comes to anything!
Whether it is blogging, posting a TikTok, or serving in a ministry, I find myself answering this question.
Because I believe it is important to know why you do what you do in order for what you do to be impactful.
You see, I believe our culture sometimes gets caught up in doing things out of what they can gain instead of doing for who they can help gain.
As believers of faith, it is so important for us to be mindful that we are reflections of God himself to our world.
In other words, when we say we are a Christian, everything we do will be monitored by those who watch us. (Including God)
This is why we need to make sure we are doing what we do as representatives of Christ!
“And whatever you do or say, do it as a representative of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks through him to God the Father.” Colossians 3:17
And, I get it sometimes you may have moments where you feel what you are doing for God is not being seen.
Honey Bunches, I too, have felt and sometimes feel that way.
However, what helps me in those moments is remembering a simple verse..
“Work willingly at whatever you do, as though you were working for the Lord rather than for people.” Colossians 3:23 NLT
When we choose to do things for God and not people, we move differently.
When we choose to do things for God and not people, we talk differently.
When we choose to do things for God and not people, we impact differently!
I believe there is nothing we do for Christ that is not seen.
And, if you ever feel unseen by what you do for Christ, remember there’s always one watching you: God. 😉
