Recognizing God’s Move | Empower Her Blog

Ever felt like, “God, are you doing anything?” Before you scroll past, take a breath. This week’s post could be the gentle nudge of confirmation your soul needs.
Have you ever been waiting on God for one specific thing.
You’ve been waiting. You’ve been waiting. And you’ve been waiting some more.
There’s a passage in John 9 that’s been sitting heavy on my heart lately. It’s the story of the man born blind, someone who had never seen the light of day, not even once in his life.
Everyone in his whole community knew his condition. Even his own parents confirmed he had been blind from birth. But then Jesus shows up.
And in true Jesus fashion, He does the miraculous.
What shook me most wasn’t just the miracle, it was the way people responded.
The very people who should’ve recognized the move of God, the religious leaders, the teachers, the ones with the title and the platform they were the main ones questioning and doubting. They were so caught up in their positions, their traditions, their opinions, that they couldn’t even see Jesus standing right in front of them.
And that made me pause.
Because if I’m honest, I never want to be in a place where I can’t recognize Jesus.
In a world full of noise, culture shifts, and personal beliefs where so many things are happening at once. To be honest, as one who really believes in God, I never want to miss a moment where God is moving. I don’t want my pride, pain, or preferences to cloud my view.
As I grow in faith, I’m learning not to box God into my expectations. His ways are higher. His thoughts are deeper. Isaiah 55 reminds us that just as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are His ways beyond ours.
Even when I don’t understand, I believe what Romans 8:28 says: God works all things together for the good of those who love Him and are called according to His purpose.
Sharing My Story For You
This is why I am sharing today. For you, for the girl who feels overwhelmed.
The one who’s been praying.
The one who has cried the tears.
The one who has been disappointed.
The one who’s answer did not arrive the way she expected.
The one who wonders if God is even listening.
Here’s the thing, friend: maybe… just maybe… He has answered.
But maybe it didn’t look like what you thought.
That’s the thing about God I am learning According to Isaiah 45:15 (NLT), “Truly, O God of Israel, our Savior, you work in mysterious ways.”
God is not always loud or flashy. He often moves behind the scenes,
in quiet ways that require faith, not sight.
So here’s your gentle reminder today: pause. Reflect. Look again.
What if the very thing you’ve been waiting on… has already arrived?
What if Jesus is moving… and this time, you see Him clearly?
Verse of the Day
John 9:25 (NIV) He replied, “Whether he is a sinner or not, I don’t know. One thing I do know. I was blind but now I see!”
