Spiritual Growth: Level Up In Christian Maturity Part II

When was the last time your mom or dad told you to not touch the stove?

I’m sure that is a distant memory for you, right?

Whether you remember or not, more than likely you were a young child.

I would even dare to say you were a toddler!

Though you may not be able to pinpoint the specific period in your life, your parent’s wisdom is still engrained in your mind.

Any time you find yourself in the kitchen you know that gas or electric machine has the capability to get hot.

Real Hot!

You don’t simply go touching it all willy nilly without first checking to see its temperature.

If you are honest with yourself, you’ve done this for so long that you haven’t really taken the time to think about this until now.

It simply comes natural to you!

As believers of God, there are some things like the stove that should come natural to us as we spiritually mature.

Meaning, there are things God will reveal to us in the fresh start of our spiritual journey, yet the more we mature the less we need to figure out if we should be practicing what He revealed, but simply living in it!

Now, this Nugget I’m going share with you I will say this in love:

It’s time to grow beyond the fundamentals of faith and repentance!

Hebrews 6:1 says it best,

So let us stop going over the basic teachings about Christ again and again. Let us go on instead and become mature in our understanding. Surely we don’t need to start again with a fundamental importance of repenting from evil deeds and placing our faith in God.

Honey Bunches, the moment you accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior you were saved. Romans 10:13

Next, I hope you were surrounded by a faith-filled and life-giving community that supported you as you discovered more on the basic teachings of being a follower of Christ, disciple.

Then, there should of been a shift in you.

Something in your heart that wanted to experience a life in prosperity, hope, and a future.

And, not by our culture standards…but by God’s word!

Would you like to know something?

It is possible and I have scriptures to prove it!

Deuteronomy 28:1-14 “Keep God’s commands, you and your children will be blessed”

Jeremiah 29:11 “God’s plans are to give you prosperity, hope, and a future!”

John 15:7 “Remain in God, remain in His word, you can ask and receive anything.”

Psalms 35:27 “God ain’t going to let down those who follow Him. He’s got our backs!”

Honey Bunches, as you level up in your walk with God, you will not only have the desire to just make it in to Heaven one day.

You will also have the desire to experience Heaven here on earth!

The more we mature in Christ being obedient to Him is a daily lifestyle.

Life is tough.

Being a Christian is more tough 😄

But, let me empower you!

God is faithful. That’s it!

Now, if that doesn’t bless you, maybe these will:

Start being more intentional in pursuing the calling He has over your life.

Start being more obedient in saying ‘Yes’ to God and ‘No’ to Selfish Desires.

Start being more loving and forgiving to those who don’t support God’s vision for you.

Start being more open to accept those individuals who God has placed in your life to build the vision He’s placed inside your heart, yet they may be culturally different from you.

Honey Bunches, it’s time for you to level up!
