Unafraid: The answer is on the other side of fear!

What’s the one thing in life that scares you?

I mean really scares you.

Like, if it appeared to you right now you would completely lose it!

There’s no judgement here.

Everyone has something they are afraid of.

Yet, at the moment we began to call out our fear(s) we take the first step to conquering.

Sounds simple, right?

To make it better to admit, I’ll share with you my experience with fear.

And, I believe it will empower you to overcome the very thing that’s holding you from living abundantly.

Fear develops from our own emotions that turn into a distorted life perception.

Last year, I was afraid of heights.

Other than roller coasters, anything in high altitude scared me.

I would experience anxiety riding in airplanes.

Any time I attended the city fair, you wouldn’t catch me walking near a Ferris Wheel.

No seriously.

It was that bad!

As I shared my once fear of heights in I Double Dog Dare You! , a traumatic event happen in my life that caused me to fear heights.

It wasn’t until I made a decision I no longer wanted heights to stop me from enjoying life that I was able to conquer heights!

For so long, heights internally controlled me.

And frankly, I was fed up!

I wasn’t sure of my fate, but I believed God could help me to overcome heights.

I just knew I no longer wanted to be afraid.

So, I prayed, scheduled an appointment to a local rock climbing facility, and invited a close friend who would encourage me to get over heights.

Here’s the thing I’ve learned about fear.

We are only afraid of something once we perceive it as fearful.

The very definition of fear is an unpleasant emotion caused by the belief that someone or something is dangerous, likely to cause harm, or a threat.

As believers, I believe when we make the decision to allow fear to control us, we prolong the very things we pray and seek God for.

Don’t believe me?

What’s stopping you from graduating college? Money

But, doesn’t the Bible tells us our God will supply all of our needs?

What’s stopping you to love everyone? A heart break?

But, doesn’t the Bible tells us Everyone who believes Jesus is the Christ has become a child of God. And, everyone who loves the Father loves His children, too?

What’s stopping you to be healed? An illness?

But, doesn’t the Bible tells us By His stripes, we are healed?

So again, I ask What are you afraid of?

If I never made the crazy decision to conquer heights, I would still be afraid.

I trusted in God’s word that If God is for me, who can be against against me?

Including heights!

It was at the very moment when I climbed in high altitude my mind shifted to heights was no longer fearful.

There’s a saying that goes something like, if it’s not one thing, there’s another.

Though I am no longer afraid of heights, there’s something trying to coward me from living purposefully: public speaking.

As I continue my surrendered life journey, I plan to allow God to help me conquer public speaking.

And, I believe how God helped me before, He’ll do it again!

Fear Nuggets!

Fear is not of God.

The Bible tell us we have power over fear.

(2: Timothy 1:17)

Change your perception on fear.

Ask God to guide you on what you see as fearful.

Trust in God’s word.

Once God gives you the strength to conquer fear, believe in Him and know He will be there every step of the way.

Invite a friend!

Share your fear with a friend and invite them to battle the fear with you.

Celebrate!

Turn up, Honey Bunches! Tell others to empower them. Let them know how God helped you.
