In life, there are different seasons, right?
Spring. Summer. Fall. Winter. 🌱🌞🍂❄️
With every season, you expect a new one to eventually come.
While you wait, you grow throughout the process!
You don’t normally ask, “When is the next season coming?”
Instead, you go forward in life with the expectation that if you just keep moving the next season will arrive.
Well, that has been me for the past three years!
I have been in a purity journey of no sex and no masturbation.
After many failed relationships and encounters with lust, I finally made a decision to ‘bet on God’ and choose to ignore what can temporarily stimulate my flesh.
Has the process been easy?
Nah!
Do I still think about sex?
Absolutely!
However, I can admit choosing to live in purity during my single season has brought me indescribable amounts of favor and one gift I didn’t think I was ever worthy to fully experience: self-control.
‘And now, dear brothers and sisters, one final thing. Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise. ‘ -Philippians 4:8

Even so, one of the many things I have recently learned in purity is that the gift of self-control is not limited to simply the physical.
…And how to execute it within my process 😀
Because I choose purity, God continues to help me to renew my heart and mind by changing the way I think.
Honey Bunches, you would be surprised by my discoveries during this purity process!
For example, I have learned how to properly maintain my cute slim figure, by exercising regularly, drinking generous amounts of water daily, and even subbing dairy items to plant based foods.
Let’s just say I now make the best vegan waffles you may have ever tasted😋
Choosing self-control is also teaching me how to get my money right by binge watching The Ramsey Solutions Team via YouTube!
Most importantly, I have developed a stronger relationship with Christ.
Accepting the gift of self-control will lead you to the promised future God desires for you.
‘For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope. ‘ -Jeremiah 29:11
Like any other season, I believe my current purity season will soon come to an end.
While I wait, I choose to move forward in this season gaining all I need to soon transition into the woman who God desires for me to be.
