We Share To Empower: Get Ya Mind Right!

“No matter what I see, I choose faith. No matter what I feel I choose faith.” -Unknown

Let’s talk about it.

You know, what’s on your mind…really.

Let’s talk about the thing that has been keeping you up at night.

Let’s talk about how you’ve been feeling, yet unable to share with anyone else.

Because if you were to share what has really been inside of your head, it would mean you would be exposed to someone else other than yourself.

And, you and I know where that has gotten you!

But, do you remember when you tried that one thing?

You tried, failed.

You tried again, you failed.

You tried a couple more times or so..and something clicked!

With all the energy you had left, you tried one more time and were able to conquer the very thing that was causing you to fail.

And, I believe you can do that again, if you just try!

As a believer of Christ, I want to share with you something.

I have been where you are.

In fact, there are times (even currently) where a random thought comes inside of my mind that is not up to let’s just say a Godly standard.

Thoughts such as: No one cares about me. No one cares about my ministry. I am not good enough for a man to ever love me.

I should just give up.

Now, your thoughts may be different.

However, I believe one of the biggest misconceptions believers have is the perception that we cannot have bad thoughts.

And, if we do, we have failed as a Christ follower.

In reality, negative thoughts can occur in our minds.

Seriously, read the books of Job and Psalm…David and Job went through some mental trials and tribulations!

What is important is how we choose to move forward in those moments when a bad thought occurs.

Control your thoughts, don’t let them control you!

Dwelling on negative thoughts is like carrying around unnecessary mental garbage.

The more you allow them to hang around the more your reality begins to stink!

What I am learning is choosing to take control of my thoughts at the very moment I feel my faith is no longer speaking to me.

Here are 3 ways you , too, can take control of your thoughts:

  1. 1. Speak kindly to yourself.

“Death and life are in the power of the tongue, And those who love it and indulge it will eat its fruit and bear the consequences of their words.” Proverbs 18:21 AMP

You have the power through Christ to speak life. I encourage you to begin to speak kindly to yourself for the next seven days. No complaining, no negative talk to yourself or others 😀

Come back to this post and give your girl an update!

  1. 2. Fill your mind with the word of God.

“But they delight in the law of the Lord, meditating on it day and night. They are like trees planted along the riverbank, bearing fruit each season. Their leaves never wither, and they prosper in all they do.” Psalms‬ ‭1:2-3‬ ‭NLT‬‬

As a believer of Christ, the word of God is ‘His personal love letter to you’. I believe the more you read the Bible the more your faith will restore and strengthen your thoughts!

  1. 3. Share your negative thoughts with a trusted friend, therapist, or loved one.

“The heartfelt counsel of a friend is as sweet as perfume and incense.” Proverbs 27:9 ‭NLT‬‬

Honey Bunches, I do not believe anyone has gotten better on their own! Everyone needs help in life. By sharing the very things that’ve been on your mind to a trusted person, you’d be surprised by how much their words can strengthen your reality!

My prayer is for God to help you renew your mind. May you take control of your thoughts. May they no longer control you!
