When Faith Carries You Further | Empower Her Blog

  • Have you ever felt too weak to pray, too bound to move forward, or too discouraged to believe again?

One of my favorite miracles in the Bible reminds us that when our own strength fails, the faith of others can still carry us straight to Jesus.

In Mark 2, a man unable to walk had friends who refused to give up on him. When the crowd blocked the door, they climbed the roof, tore it open, and lowered him right in front of Jesus. And because of their faith, this man received his breakthrough.

This story always reminds me of the people who have carried me to Jesus when I didn’t feel worthy, when I was bound by shame, or when I felt stuck in cycles I couldn’t break on my own. Their prayers, their encouragement, their faith kept me moving toward freedom.

Maybe you’ve felt unseen, overlooked, or unworthy.

Maybe you’ve believed your struggle disqualified you from breakthrough.

Maybe you’ve thought, “I can’t get to Jesus on my own.”

Today, you may feel burdened by life’s weight.

You may be holding pain you’ve hidden from everyone else.

You may be walking with questions that feel too heavy to carry.

Sharing My Story For You

Breakthrough is never far when you’re surrounded by faith-filled community.

I am learning that healing may come because someone else refused to stop praying for you.

The love of Christ, through the hands of others, can still lift you into freedom.

Friend, you don’t have to walk alone, community was God’s idea.

The breakthrough you have been waiting on may come through someone else’s faith!

Prayer travels further than your own strength ever could.

It is when we lift others, God lifts us too.

Verse of the Day

Galatians 6:2 (NIV) "Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ."

Your Next Step

Take a moment today to ask yourself: whose burdens am I carrying, and who is carrying mine?

If you’re weary, don’t be afraid to lean on the prayers of others. And if you’re strong today, be the friend who lifts someone else to Jesus. Together, we reflect His love and together, we experience His breakthrough.
