If you’re anything like me, you don’t like waiting, for nothing!
You prefer to have what you want without time getting in between the very thing that’s attracting and you.
New Car? Diploma? House? New Job? Pay Check? Pay Raise? Marriage? Kids? Degree? Pizza?!?
Okay, maybe not everything on the list, but you know you don’t like waiting for pizza!
I believe the more advance our world is becoming we grow a sense of entitlement to time.
Many of us are so used to seeing or experiencing instant results that when we actually have to wait for something beyond our control mentally it exhaust us.
Oh, let’s be honest Honey Bunches!
On the list above, how many of you thought “How long is this list going to be?”
If that was you, let me know in the COMMENT SECTION at the end of this post😆

Honey Bunches, there is always purpose in why we have to wait.
If I can be honest with you, tomorrow is my 29th birthday and there are some things in life I thought I would have obtained by this pivotal age!
Last week, I took a moment to really think about where I am in life.
As a result, my emotions ended up getting the best of me due to time I spent focused on the lack thereof.
If you have ever felt this way about waiting, let me share with you what God in response revealed to me.
Waiting is not about you. Waiting is about what God can do through you!
Have you ever heard or read a familiar story in the Bible only to end up receiving a completely different understanding than before?
The revelation even may cause you to say, Man, I wish I saw this earlier!
You see, there’s a popular story in the Bible many church leaders often speak on titled Jesus and the Samaritan Woman.
Recently, I read the entire story to discover Wait there’s more to this👀
There are 2 Key Points in this story where it relates to the power of what God can produce when we wait on purpose and not in emotions that blew me away!

And, I would like to share them with you.
1. Even Jesus grew tired along his journey, but He still worked in purpose!
For those of us who don’t like to wait, we sometimes hit a place in the process of our journey to where we feel tired from working in purpose.
I want you to know, it’s okay to feel how you feel, but you cannot afford to allow your emotions to get the best of you!
Listen to your body, take a moment to rest, and get back to moving in your journey.
And, I love how Jesus gave us this example:
“Eventually he came to the Samaritan village of Sychar, near the field that Jacob gave to his son Joseph. Jacob’s well was there; and Jesus, tired from the long walk, sat wearily beside the well about noon time.” John 4:5-6
For a back story to this, Jesus was on a journey to Galilee. He had recently left Judea due to the religious leaders aka some haters who heard that Jesus was baptizing more disciples than John The Baptist did.
Even in his tired state, Jesus chose not to miss an opportunity to bless someone, the Samaritan woman. His response in waiting to continue on his journey was offering the woman living water. What we know as salvation😉
2. How we act towards others in our waiting process produces a ripple effect.
Later in the story, Jesus’ heartfelt gesture toward the Samaritan woman led her to share the miracle that he produced with others in the Samaritan community.
In the event, many of the Samaritans believed in Jesus’ message of eternal life!
The people were so excited in Jesus’ teaching that they begged him to stay with him.
Jesus chose to continue to wait in the place for two additional days and his obedience to his purpose saved many more people who lived there!
When they came out to see him, they begged him to stay in their village. So he stayed for two days, long enough for many more to hear his message and believe. John 4:40-41
Honey Bunches, I understand waiting is not always fun, but we must remember the process is building purpose beyond what we can see.
My prayer is that we will focus on the blessing in waiting. What ever comes along our journey we will move forward knowing there’s always purpose behind what we may see or feel. I pray God will continue to work all things together for our good. I declare great favor over you and me. In Jesus’ name. Amen!
Healing Nuggets!
Waiting is not about you. Waiting is about what God can do through you!
Even Jesus grew tired along his journey, but He still worked in purpose!
How we act towards others in our waiting process produces a ripple effect.
