When You Feel Alone, Remember: Jesus Already Prayed for You | Empower Her Blog

  • There’s a quiet kind of exhaustion that comes from always being the strong one.

The one who shows up. The one who serves. The one who prays for everybody else.

You’re present in your family, your job, your ministry, your circle, pouring, pouring, pouring. And yet, If you’re honest, there are moments you wonder: Is anyone praying for me? Read this week's story:

John 17 wrecked and revived me.

I always heard that Jesus loves me and cares for me, but I didn’t fully comprehend those words until I came across the verses in John Chapter 17.

There have been times where I have felt like no one cares or I’m showing up for others.

But, the same love didn't feel like it was displayed. I prayed and witnessed breakthroughs for people. And, I share this in the most humbling way not saying that I don’t want to see other people enjoy or have their moments. It’s just like I found myself asking God, "Who’s covering me?"

Then, I was encouraged to read the John 17 Chapter.

It’s where Jesus paused before the cross to pray, not just for His disciples then, but for you and I, believers in faith, now.

Yes, you and me. The Holy Spirit reminded me, the one felt overlooked, unheard, and maybe even spiritually dry.

In a world that can make faith feel lonely, John 17 is the reminder I didn’t even know I needed:

Jesus already prayed and continues to pray for us. And He’s still interceding.

Sharing My Story For You

The enemy wants to convince you that no one sees you.

That no one gets it.

That no one is standing in the gap for you.

But that’s a lie.

John 17 proves otherwise. Jesus prayed for every believer, including those who would come later (John 17:20). He interceded for your protection (John 17:15). He prayed for your unity, your sanctification, your mission, and your future. So, even on the days when it feels like no one is interceding on your behalf, heaven has already spoken on your name.

You’re not forgotten.

You’re not invisible.

You’re not out here fighting alone. Maybe right now, you’re facing:

  • A past full of disappointment and cycles that tried to define you.

  • A present that feels like pressure is mounting and you’re barely holding it all together.

  • A future you desperately want to believe God is working out, but it feels cloudy, unpredictable, or just too far away.

Here’s the truth: the enemy wants to steal your joy, kill your peace, and destroy your faith in God’s promises (John 10:10).

But, Jesus already made a move on your behalf.

He interceded.

And He’s still doing it right now, at the right hand of the Father (Romans 8:34).

Even when words fail you, the Holy Spirit interprets your groans and your silence.

(Romans 8:26).

Even when you feel unworthy, Jesus reminds heaven that you are His.

Verse of the Day

John 17:20-21‭ (NIV) My prayer is not for them alone. I pray also for those who will believe in me through their message, that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me.

🕯 Share This With a Friend Who Needs to Know:

You’re not alone. You’re not empty. You’re not forgotten.

Jesus prayed for you, and He still is.
